CARDS WIN!

The Royals fan in me doesn't want to rejoice in the Cardinals winning the World Series over the Detroit Tigers. However, the little boy in me that grew up watching the Cards (I lived on that side of the state) wants to let the joy out. I also am glad that one of the teams from Missouri has the title.

I must admit that baseball got it right with their choice of David Eckstein as World Series MVP. MLB doesn't always seem to get things right (steroid testing, home-field advantage linked to All-Star Game, ignoring the pine tar on Kenny Rogers' hand), but they got it right this time! David Eckstein is a great example of what all baseball players should be like. I wish every player played as hard as , showed as much heart as, and battled like Eckstein.
